• Readers of “auto motor und sport” declare the Audi A1 the best compact car
• Second place for Audi A5 and Audi A6
• 373 models in ten categories competed for readers’ votes
Readers of “auto motor und sport” (ams) have decided on the “Best Cars of 2013”. The Audi A1 won the Compact Car category to repeat its 2012 victory. Awards were presented today in Stuttgart.
The smallest model in the Audi family is popular with readers of Europe’s most highly circulated automotive magazine. The brand with the four rings secured first place in the Compact Car segment – thanks to the Audi A1.
Second place in the midsize class went to the Audi A5/A5 Sportback. In the upper midsize class the brand with the four rings took second and third place with the A6/A6 allroad models and the A7 Sportback. In the sports car category Audi achieved third place with the R8, in the off-road vehicles category readers voted the Audi Q5 into third place. In the compact class third place went to the Audi A3. With this victory, Audi continues its Best Cars success story.
This was the 37th time that “auto motor und sport” surveyed its readers; 112,877 people took part this year. They voted on 373 vehicles in ten categories.
