AUDI AG: Thomas Sigi assumes responsibility for Human Resources on October 1

Thomas Sigi, 45, will assume responsibilities as the Member of the Board of Management of AUDI AG for Human Resources on October 1. He succeeds Dr. Werner Widuckel, who is leaving the company to work in the field of research and teaching. The Board of Management and General Works Council thank Widuckel for his successful work and for helping develop the image of the brand. Rupert Stadler, Chairman of the Board of Management of Audi: “Thomas Sigi knows Audi and the Volkswagen Group very well. We look forward to working with him. He’s already introduced and implemented numerous fresh ideas within the human resources activities of the corporate group.”

Thomas Sigi said: “I look forward to working with the Board of Management, the
Works Council and the company’s employees, and to making a contribution to
continuing Audi’s success story.” Peter Mosch: “The employee representatives at Audi are open to constructive cooperation with Mr. Sigi. Issues such as demographic change, safeguarding of company sites and jobs, and training are at the top of the agenda. We see this as being key to future employment. We expect that Mr. Sigi, like his predecessor, will have an open ear for the concerns and interests of the employees at Audi.”

Sigi was born on November 26, 1964, in Konstanz (Germany) and following hisvocational training, he studied in Switzerland (earning a Bachelor in Business Administration) and in Germany. He earned a Master of Business Administration degree at the University of Applied Sciences in Konstanz. From 1995 to 1997 he was a management and HR consultant at a Swiss consulting company.

In 1998 he joined Audi in Neckarsulm as HR Director. In 2002 he moved to ALCAN Holdings Germany GmbH, where he filled the position of General Manager/HRDirector. Starting in 2006 he was HR Director of the Volkswagen Kassel plant and Representative for Group Components at Volkswagen AG. In August 2009 he was appointed Executive Vice President of ZF Friedrichshafen AG, where he assumed responsibility for HR and service companies.
